Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) gave Lighthouse Louisiana an opportunity to share the important work of the organization at an LRS meeting held September 1 at UNO TRAC. Natalie Harrison, CESP, Director of Employment Services, and Robert Trahan, Director of Vision Rehabilitation, were invited to speak about the new and improved services and programs at Lighthouse, including active and hold services, current service processes, future service goals, and how to refer for services.

“Presenting to the New Orleans region’s supervisors, counselors, managers, and staff gave us an excellent opportunity to inform LRS about Lighthouse services and how they have improved. We were also introduced to new staff,” said Harrison. “We hope the meeting will strengthen our relationship with LRS, generate new opportunities to place individuals in meaningful employment and encourage referrals to our Work Incentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) and Ticket to Work programs.”
