Lighthouse Louisiana in the News!

As a social enterprise and economic engine in the Southeast region, Lighthouse Louisiana operates three modern manufacturing facilities, creating competitive employment for people who are blind. The biggest customer for the products manufactured in these facilities is the Federal Government. Recently, there has been a shift in Federal purchasing that has been devastating for Lighthouse Louisiana employees. Many of our employees who are blind have been laid off, and can no longer provide for their families.

The Washington Times posted an in-depth look at the controversy. Please share this story so that we can spread awareness of the damages this new law has caused. Our goal is to put Americans with disabilities back to work.
